Nothing critical but a pain in the arse. For the comments email notifications, I'm using the excellent <a href="http://txfx.net/code/wordpress/subscribe-to-comments/" rel="nofollow">Subscribe to Comments</a> plugin. It's bit around for ages, still don't know why they don't build it into core to be honest.
