There seems to be a pretty critical/lethal bug when you delete a post with files uploaded by TDOMF on a Windows host. It’ll delete everything right up c: !

So please be careful if you’re on a windows host. I’ll try and make sure this bug is fixed for next release.

Thanks to Nick and Lance for bringing this to my attention.

Also another thing to know is that TDO mini forms doesn’t work with Godaddy Windows hosting accounts. I switched to the Linux hosting account and now it works…good thing to know

Thats quite strange. It should just work, however the next version does include a fix that might resolve this.

When ever I can. If you are in desperate need, you can download the latest dev version from here.

For such a critical and severe type of error that could wipe your hard disk and all your sites and files, the plugin should have been taken down until the bug was fixed. A forum posting alone would not be sufficient as most people will not be checking here before installing.

It is also quite surprising that a WordPress plugin could have such privileges / permissions to modify and delete system files beyond the web root directory. I am assuming this was more likely related to an unconventional server setup and site configuration.
